03 —  how i got here

Cleveland to LA, by way of the work.

I started in Cleveland — Real Muzik LLC, I'm From Cleveland, the BlameSwoope interview series, The Kulture Breakdown podcast. The Langston Tributes in 2016. A casting internship on The Land that same year. I learned the hustle of building audiences before anyone was paying attention to the building.

Meeting Steven Caple Jr. changed the trajectory. An assistant role on Judas and the Black Messiah followed, then a connection with Charles King and the MACRO/M88 family. The move to LA wasn't a leap — it was the next room.

The industry has trained itself to wait for proof — for metrics, for charts, for a viral moment. The result is a generation of artists asked to manufacture audience before they're allowed to make work.

Real talent has always been the asset. My job is to bring it back to the table — to the rooms where deals get cut — and to make sure the people creating the value are the people getting paid for it. That is the only sustainable model. Everything else is rented.
